Orbis tertius
installation - 2009
I am interested in everything artificial and superficial that real space contains. Using the daily environment as a background decor, moving between the border that goes from masked disenchantment to crafted commonplace objects, this installation uses materials found onsite, in order to lose itself in the landscape. This modelling of the park lawn, done in situ, creates a topography that seems to have emerged from the ground. The folds that are formed become a projection space, a trigger of the imagination confronting nature and human construction.
“It is not the real world that supplies the elements which will be used to build the imaginary world. It is this latter that, by its superior coherence, is sweeping away an uncertain reality”. J.L. Borges
