Uccellacci uccellini

Uccellacci-Uccellini is in a way a solution to close in explosive birds. Locked, compressed, under pressure, this bird shaped balloons are packed into an upside down metallic cage. Who will blow up the other one? The colorful occupants or the cage? One by one the animals will burst into fragments reminding us of “The stories of the crow” by Pasolini and the sermons of Saint Francis of Assisi. ////////The bars protect and lock you in. This present duality, even upside down remains troubling. Finally, this sculpture offers an allegory of Freedom.
